If your getaway’s only focus is to check out the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, then staying in a cabin south of Route 13 in or around Union County will be fine (Anna, IL). However, if you would like to take in some of the Shawnee National Forest hikes while vising the wine trail, then it is recommended to rent a wine trail cabin near Alto Pass, IL or Cobden, IL and maybe as far south as Anna, IL. If you are vacationing not just for the Shawnee Wine Trail, but to visit Southern Illinois University , then it is suggested to rent a cabin south of Carbondale, IL or around the Makanda, IL area.

The sofa located in the living room, converts to a queen sleeper which is perfect for two children or one additional adult. Walking distance to the cabin lies a three-acre pond, inviting guests to enjoy fishing and leisurely strolls along the dam.
Fern Glen - Woodland Cabins

Featuring generous multi-level decks, a distinctive hot tub and fire-pit enclave, and a charming front porch swing, Fern Glen stands as our most secluded abode. The cabin boasts a studio layout with a king-size bed, a cozy family room, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Lakeview - Woodland Cabins

Located on the pond with an exterior deck overlooking the water, Lakeview is a one-bedroom cabin, with a king sized bed, offering privacy between the sleeping area and the living/kitchen area. White Tail is located on the pond with the best view of the sunset. A beautiful stone-step walkway leads guests from their hot-tub patio to a unique wood deck with a fire pit right on the water.
