About this cabin
Woodsong is our only cabin with a true one-bedroom layout — offering genuine privacy between the sleeping area and the living and kitchen space. Situated on the pond with spacious exterior decks and a large shaded yard, it's the most room-to-breathe option in the Woodland Cabins collection.
The private hot tub looks out over the pond and the yard, and a separate fire pit sits right at the water's edge — perfect for a slow evening of fishing, turtle watching, or just letting the day wind down. Inside, knotty pine walls, a stone gas fireplace, and a wall of windows facing the water give the cabin a genuinely woodsy, warm character.
The surrounding 44 acres of wooded fields are alive with wildlife year-round — deer, wild turkey, red foxes, pileated woodpeckers, songbirds, and migrating waterfowl. For the fortunate observer, catching a glimpse of "Fraidy," the resident bobcat, adds an extra touch of wilderness charm. Dogs are welcome to explore every acre of it.

The experience

Woodland Cabins is nestled on 44 wooded acres in Carbondale, surrounded by a three acre stocked pond and the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. Tasting rooms, hiking, and the Shawnee National Forest are all just a short drive away.
