Cabin 3 is one of the closest cabin rentals to Garden of the Gods at Shawnee National Forest in Herod, IL — a two-bedroom log cabin built for families and groups who want space without sacrificing seclusion.
This cabin features two private bedrooms, each with a queen bed and linens, plus a queen leather sleeper sofa ideal for up to two children. A wood-burning fireplace anchors the living area, and a fully equipped kitchen makes meals easy. Soak in the private hot tub, gather around the fire pit under an open sky, and grill out on the charcoal grill.
High-speed WiFi and satellite TV keep everyone comfortable between adventures. Dogs are welcome here — Cabin 3 is one of only two designated pet-friendly cabins at Shawnee Forest Cabins. Note that this cabin is not recommended for six adults — it's best suited to two couples, a family, or a small group with kids.
